The Miss North Carolina’s Teen program functions as North Carolina’s official pathway into Miss America’s Teen. Open to young women ages 13–18, it includes competitions in interview, talent, evening wear, and social impact, all while awarding scholarships to support academic achievement.
Since its inception in 2005, the state pageant has seen outstanding results: North Carolina’s representatives have achieved placements at nationals, including a win in 2024 by Hanley House, who earned preliminary fitness and evening gown awards.
Why It Matters -
Educational opportunity: The state and national platforms offer substantial scholarship money and tuition waivers to support the winners’ college education.
Personal growth: Through interview preparation, talent showcases, community projects, and wellness initiatives, contestants develop poise, communication skills, and civic awareness.
State pride & lineage: Competing for Miss North Carolina’s Teen allows young women to represent their state, join a powerful “sisterhood,” and become part of a legacy of past leaders who have excelled nationally.
Together, Miss North Carolina’s Teen and Miss America’s Teen offer a transformative experience—combining scholarship, service, and self-development—providing a launchpad for young women across North Carolina to stand out on a national stage. If you’re a motivated teen seeking to grow academically and personally, this program is an incredible opportunity.
